We welcome Max Kieker as a master student in the Master of Photonics program at the University of Jena.
Before coming to Jena, Max did his bachelor thesis at the Max Planck institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen, centered around the characterization of near-infrared ultrashort laser pulses. Followed by the beginning of his master studies in France, he completed an internship at the Centre Lasers Intenses et Applications, working on the characterization of the polarization state of femtosecond pulses for two-color chiral photoionization and a summer programme at the EuropeanXFEL concentrated on third-harmonic generation for pump-probe transient absorption spectroscopy.
Max’ master thesis, in cooperation with the Fiber & Waveguide Lasers Group at the University of Jena, will address the development of a compact, ultrafast, nonlinear amplifier.
